Welcome to Northwest Elementary School.  The teachers have worked hard to plan wonderful educational experiences for your child.

‚ÄčOUR MISSION:  At Northwest Elementary School, we will challenge and empower all students to be independent thinkers, lifelong learners, and responsible citizens. 

HISTORY:  Northwest Elementary School, home of the Mustangs is located in the city of Lexington, and positioned in Davidson County.  The school originally opened in 1974 and has one addition to the builing done in 1995.  In 2001, the school was divided when Friedberg Elementary was built.

Breakfast Begins at 7:30-7:50 a.m.
Students Report to class 7:50 a.m.
School Begins at 8:00 a.m.
Tardy Bell 8:00 a.m.
Shuttle Bus and Daycare Dismissed at 2:25 p.m.
Regular Buses and Car Riders Dismissed at 2:30 p.m.

Art Show 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Parents may purchase matting and framing for their child's artwork.  Cost is $25.00.  Duplicates may be purchased for Christmas gifts.
Cash and checks only.

4th and 5th Grade Music Program 6:00 p.m.
Wear country attire and a red bandanna.  Cowboy hat optional.  Students will be performing their program in the gym.
