"FAMILY CODE NIGHT"

It is a whole-school, whole-family Northwest event at which kids grades K-5 and their parents do their first hour of computer programming - together! At this special evening of learning and fun, you'll play in parent-child teams to complete fun Code.org puzzles and challenges at your own pace, and learn core concepts in coding in this very first hour. Afterwards, you'll go home with a special "Code On at Home" guide to continue coding puzzles, learning and fun at home. No coding experience needed, chromebooks will be provided, a great experience to share with your kids! Please complete the link on the flyer that came home with your child last Wednesday. The link can also be found on our NW website as well as our NW Facebook page. We are very excited about this event for parents and students.

Brenner Gift Guide
Beginning December 2nd, we will be collecting toy donations for children who are stuck in Brenner Children's Hospital on Christmas morning. After we donate the items, the staff at Brenner will wrap all of the gifts and deliver them to the children on Christmas day. Can you imagine how impactful that is to not only the children, but the parents? Imagine having to be stuck in a small room instead of waking up to the joy of seeing what Santa brought on Christmas morning.  If we can bring even a small amount of joy to these families, then it's worth it! We hope that you use this as an opportunity to discuss how important it is to give back, show kindness, show generosity, empathy, and compassion to others.

THANK YOU for your involvement! We are so excited for this project to take off this year and be a part of putting a smile on a child's face on Christmas morning.
