Welcome to Northwest Elementary!

I am fortunate to say I was born and raised in Davidson County!  I am beginning my twenty-third year in the Davidson County School System where I have served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal.  After graduating from Ledford High School, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1994.  I earned my Master of School Administration degree, also from UNC-G, in 2001.  I began my career in education at E. Lawson Brown Middle School teaching 7th grade math and pre-algebra for seven years.  I then served as the assistant principal at North Davidson Middle School for five years.  After leaving NDMS, I was named the principal of Stoner-Thomas School where I served as principal for six years.  I have served as the principal of Northwest Elementary for four years.  I am proud to continue to be part of such a wonderful school system which I am a product of.

We are looking forward to a wonderful year at Northwest Elementary, where the education of the individual student is a top priority.  We look forward to continuing to work together with you and your child.  We value your presence during all school events and hope to provide a variety of opportunities to help us connect with your child and family.

Please know that my door is always open and you are free to contact any of us at Northwest Elementary if you should ever need additional information or assistance.

Enjoy the 2016-2017 school year and all the opportunities and excitement it will bring!
